GPOLYMERS™UHMWPE is an injection and extrusion moldable Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE), developed by Mitsui Chemicals' original polymerization technology. In addition to being self lubricating, LUBMER™ has high mechanical strength, low water absorption and high abrasion resistance compared to other specialty engineering resins (Ex. POM: Acetal resin, PA66: nylon).
Due to UHMWPE's extremely low friction property, UHMWPE is a good alternative to fluoropolymers, where the improvement of wear resistance and reduced cost is required. UHMWPE provides many solutions and opportunities in sliding applications against various materials.
